How to manage your payment
Your options and obligations for Age Pension.
There are a few things you need to tell us so we can pay you the right amount of Age Pension. You must tell us within 14 days if:
- your circumstances change
- you travel outside Australia
- you or your partner get income from employment.
You also need to tell us if you have financial investments.
You can authorise a person to handle things for you. Read more about getting someone to deal with us on your behalf.
If you get Age Pension and your circumstances change, you need to tell us. We need to check if you can keep getting it.
You can normally get Age Pension while outside Australia. We base the amount we can pay you on how long you’re away.
You can have an authorised representative to deal with us on your behalf. You can authorise them to enquire, update, act or get payments for you.
How much you or your partner get paid affects your payment. We need to know what you both get paid so we can pay you the right amount.
