Changing your enrolment details

If your enrolment ends or your details change, you should let us know. If your enrolment ends, your Child Care Subsidy will stop.

If we end your enrolment

If your enrolment is cancelled, we’ll stop paying your subsidy. This may happen if either of the following occurs:

  • your child hasn’t attended child care for 14 weeks in a row
  • your child care service advises us your child is no longer attending.

If your enrolment ends, we’ll stop paying your subsidy and the enrolment will display in your online account as ‘ceased’.

If you want to end your enrolment

If you want to end your enrolment with your child care service you should speak to your service. They’ll update the enrolment details and end date, as agreed with you.

If for some reason, your child care service is unable or unwilling to end the enrolment then you can dispute the enrolment details online.

To do this log into your Centrelink online account through myGov. Select Child Care from the My Family menu option, then Enrolments. Then select View details for the relevant enrolment details and select This enrolment is incorrect.

If you do this, we won’t pay any CCS for this enrolment until it has been resubmitted by your service and confirmed by you. You’ll need to confirm your child’s enrolment online.

If your child is enrolled but hasn’t attended the service yet

You need an approved reason for us to pay CCS before your child attends a service for the first time. If you don’t provide an approved reason to your service, we won’t subsidise your fees for those days.

If your child’s enrolment ends after the last day your child physically attends

If your enrolment ends, we generally won’t pay CCS for any days after the last day your child physically attends. You need an approved reason for us to pay CCS for these days. If you don’t provide an approved reason to your service, we won’t subsidise your fees for those days.

If your child is absent before their first physical attendance, or absent before their enrolment ends, these days will be counted as absence days. Read more about absences days before your child attends care or after their last day of attendance.

If you want to re-enrol your child in the same service

If your child returns to the same service after a previous enrolment has ended, the service needs to both:

  • re-establish the care arrangement with you
  • submit a new enrolment notice.

Once they’ve done this, you’ll need to confirm your child’s enrolment online.
