Moving from CBOS to Business Hub
Business Hub is our secure online portal for businesses. It provides improved security and accessibility and allows authorised personnel to manage staff access online.
We’ll contact your business when the services you use are available in Business Hub. We’ll send the invitation to the Authorised Officer or authorised contact recorded for your business.
If your business is invited to transition, follow the instructions and complete the required steps by the due date in your invitation. If you don’t complete the transition by the due date, you may lose access to your business online services.
Once your business has transitioned, authorised personnel can manage staff access through Business Hub.
If you can no longer access CBOS, check with your Authorised Officer or Access Manager. They can confirm whether your access is now managed through Business Hub. If you still need help, contact us.
Get prepared
To prepare:
- make sure your Authorised Officer or authorised contact details are current
- ensure each person who will use Business Hub has an individual PRODA account
- tell us when you get your invitation if any users can’t register for PRODA because they don’t have Australian identity documents.
Watch our video to help you prepare to move from CBOS to Business Hub.
When to use CBOS
You should use CBOS if:
- we haven’t invited your business to transition to Business Hub
- the services you need aren’t available in Business Hub
- you have users who can’t currently access Business Hub.
What you can do in CBOS
You can use CBOS to upload documents and files for Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme (TFES) claims. This scheme provides freight assistance to eligible businesses who transport eligible goods by sea across Bass Strait.
If you are an Australian Disability Enterprises (ADE) employer, you can report employee earnings directly to us using the Employer Reporting service. You can find more information about supported employment for people with disability on the Department of Social Services website.
How to register
The process to register for CBOS depends on the service you need to access.
You can find out more about registering for the following services:
If your business hasn’t moved to Business Hub, or you have staff outside of Australia, you can use the Business Online Services User Details form to manage user access. This applies if you’re already registered for any of these services:
- Centrepay for businesses
- Centrelink Confirmation eServices
- Electronic Verification of Rent
- Income Management.
