What to report when you report income to Centrelink
We need to know the gross employment income you and your partner get so we can pay you the right amount.
Income from self employment
If you’re self employed you need to tell us about your business income. This is so we can pay you the right amount. You also need to tell us if this changes.
Income from employment
If you or your partner get income from employment you need to tell us. This is so we can pay you the right amount.
When to report your income to Centrelink
If you’re getting an income support payment, we’ll tell you when you need to report any other income you get.
Scheduled reporting
If you need to report your employment income, it’ll usually be every 14 days, on a date we tell you. We call this scheduled reporting.
Unscheduled reporting
If your employment income changes, you need to tell us within 14 days. We call this unscheduled reporting, as it can happen any time.

If you have to report your income each fortnight, we’ll send you an SMS reminder on the day your report is due.
