How to use the service

You can access Centrelink Confirmation eServices (CCeS) from within our secure online site.

You can use the service to get customer information in 3 different ways:

  • single enquiry
  • batch file lodgement
  • system to system.

Single enquiry

You can enquire about one customer at a time. You’ll get the results straight away and print them for your records.

Follow these steps. You must have your customer’s consent before you enquire.

  1. Log on to Centrelink Business Online Services.
  2. Enter your User ID.
  3. Enter your Password.
  4. Go to Centrelink Confirmation eServices.
  5. Select a type of enquiry.
  6. Enter their details.
  7. Check your response results.

In Step 5, the type of enquiry will be either:

  • Customer Confirmation Enquiry
  • Department of Veterans’ Affairs Enquiry
  • Income Confirmation Enquiry
  • Superannuation Confirmation Enquiry.

Batch file lodgement

You can enquire about multiple customers by submitting a batch XML file. You’ll usually get a response to the batch file within 24 hours. It may take longer depending on the size of the file.

Follow these steps. You must have each customer’s consent before you enquire.

  1. Log on to Centrelink Business Online Services.
  2. Enter your User ID.
  3. Enter your Password.
  4. Go to Organisational Online Mail System.
  5. Select the service type.
  6. Select Compose New to submit your zipped XML file.
  7. Check your Inbox for a response that it’s done.

In Step 5, the service type will be either:

  • Customer Confirmation Service
  • Income Confirmation Service.

System to system

This connects your system interface directly with us. This is the best option if you have lots of customers, and need an immediate result.

Service costs

There’s no cost for businesses to use CCeS. But there are fees to set up and test for:

  • batch file lodgement
  • system to system.
