How to manage your payment

Both farm and non-farm income can affect your payment.

If you get Farm Household Allowance, you need to enter into a Financial Improvement Agreement.

The income reconciliation process ended on 30 June 2024.

You need to report any changes to your circumstances when you get Farm Household Allowance.

We review your Farm Household Allowance to make sure you’re still eligible, and check that we’ve paid you the right amount.

There are rules about when you can get Farm Household Allowance when you travel outside Australia.

You can only get Farm Household Allowance (FHA) for a set period.

You can ask someone to act for you with Medicare, Centrelink, aged care or Child Support. You can authorise them to speak to us, update your details and get payments for you.

You can get help to access your money if you have an overdrawn bank account.

When you stop getting Farm Household Allowance (FHA) you may be able to get other payments or support services.
