To access services in Business Hub you must first register as an individual and authenticate using Provider Digital Access (PRODA).
If your business has an existing PRODA account, you don’t need to register again to access Business Hub.
New Business Hub organisations
How you start using Business Hub as a new business or organisation will depend on the service that you are applying for.
Services without an online business application
You don’t need to register your business or organisation in PRODA If your business is registered for any of the following services:
You will need to register as an individual in PRODA and submit a business application form by email or post.
Services with an online application
To apply for a service in Business Hub that has an online application using the Apply for a service function, you will need to register as an individual as well as register as a business or organisation in PRODA. To do this you must be either of the following:
- an associate
- an authorised person on the business’s Australian Business Register (ABR) record.
This person is responsible for registering the business in PRODA using their individual PRODA account.
Register in PRODA as a business or organisation
Follow the steps to register your business or organisation in PRODA to start using Business Hub.
Step 1 - Create an individual PRODA account
Confirm you’re listed on the ABR as an associate or authorised person with access to your ABR details. Create an individual PRODA account.
Step 2 - Register your business in PRODA
Once you’ve created your individual account, you can register your business or organisation in PRODA.
Follow these steps:
- Select Organisations from the menu.
- Select Register New Organisation.
- Your organisation details must exactly match the details on your ABR record.
Step 3 - Link to Business Hub
Once you’ve registered the business:
- Select Organisations from the menu.
- Select the organisation name.
- Select Service Provider.
- Select Add Service Provider.
- Select Business Hub.
- Select Add Service Provider.
Step 4 - Access Business Hub
Once you log in to PRODA you can access Business Hub by selecting Services.
Select the service you wish to use or apply for in Business Hub.
You can log in to Business Hub using your PRODA Username and Password.
Existing PRODA organisations
If your business is already in the PRODA registry, and you’re responsible for applying for a service in Business Hub, you’ll need to join the business in PRODA. You can do this if you’re an associate or authorised contact on the ABR record and linked to Business Hub.
If you’re not responsible for applying for a service in Business Hub, you should contact the person in your business who registered your business in PRODA.
If your business is not in the PRODA registry, follow the Register in PRODA as a business or organisation steps. This does not apply for businesses who are transitioning from CBOS to Business Hub.
Transition from CBOS to Business Hub
We’re migrating services from Centrelink Business Online Services (CBOS) to Business Hub. You’ll need to transition from CBOS to Business Hub to access migrated services. Once you transition, you can access the same services you were using in CBOS.
To prepare your business to start using Business Hub, you will need to register as an individual for PRODA and verify your identity.
If you’re registered, we’ll contact you about when you can start using the following services through Business Hub:
- Centrepay
- Centrelink Confirmation eServices – Customer Confirmation
- Centrelink Confirmation eServices – Income Confirmation
- Electronic Verification of Rent
- Income Management
- Superannuation Confirmation.
If the service you use isn’t listed, you’re not ready to transition yet. We’ll contact you when the service you use is ready.
