If you get an error message, there are some things you can do.
Out of memory or insufficient memory
You’ll get this message if your device’s memory is full. It may stop you from using some of the app’s features, including taking photos of documents to upload.
Try to create space on your device by:
- removing apps you don’t use anymore
- deleting videos from your device.
If you can’t access the Inbox
When you can’t access Inbox in the app, you need to follow these steps:
- sign in to your myGov account
- access your Centrelink letters from the Inbox.
Session timeout
You’ll get this when your device is inactive for 15 minutes or more.

If you have an Apple device and you get this alert, you can update your device. The app supports iOS 15 and above. To find out your version, go to Settings > General > About.
If you have an Android device and you get this alert, you can update your device. The app supports version 8.0 and above.
You can also check your signal or wireless connection.
Check the App Store or Google Play for version updates. You won’t be able to download the latest version of the app if your device doesn’t meet the minimum operating system requirements.
If you have an older device or operating system, you can:
- update the software available on your device
- use your web browser on your mobile device to access your Centrelink online account through myGov
- use your desktop computer to access your Centrelink online account through myGov.
You may not be able to update your operating system on an older device.
