Under the Exceptional Claims Scheme (ECS) the government funds 100% of the costs of a claim made against a medical professional. This happens once the claim has exceeded the limit of the medical practitioner's indemnity insurance contract.

Allied Health Exceptional Claims Scheme (AHECS)

Under the AHECS the government funds 100% of the costs of a claim made against an allied health professional. This happens once the claim has exceeded the limit of the allied health professional’s indemnity insurance contract.
