The Australian Government Indigenous Apprenticeships Program is a pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to start their careers in the Australian Public Service (APS).

We’re looking for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who want to join the Australian Public Service (APS) to make a difference in the lives of all Australians.

We have 3 stages in our Australian Government Indigenous Apprenticeships Program recruitment process.

By applying for the Australian Government Indigenous Apprenticeships Program, you can apply at some departments and agencies across the Australian Public Service (APS).

Our apprentices work in a range of areas across government.

We host online information sessions each year for potential candidates. You can attend an information session to learn more about the program and ask questions.
