Data and Digital Cadet Program

Start your digital or data career by working part-time while you complete your degree.

The Data and Digital Cadet Program is open to university students who have completed one year of an undergraduate bachelor’s degree or equivalent. The program is an exciting opportunity for university students to work part-time while completing their degree and developing essential skills in the workplace.

As a data or digital cadet, you’ll earn an attractive and competitive salary package, including leave and superannuation. You’ll also receive a generous study allowance each semester or trimester to help with your university costs.

You’ll work a minimum of 2 days per week around your university classes while you complete your degree. You have the flexibility of altering your work schedule each semester to accommodate your studies.

During semester breaks, you may have the opportunity to work full time.

You’ll be an ongoing employee at the APS2 level. On successful completion of the program and your university studies, you’ll advance to the APS4 level.

To be eligible, you must:

  • be enrolled in an Australian university
  • have completed one year towards an undergraduate bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • be an Australian citizen.

Apply for the Data and Digital Cadet Program through the APS Jobs website. Nominate Services Australia as your preference if you’re successful after your interview.
