If you get a student payment like Youth Allowance, ABSTUDY or AUSTUDY, you must report your gross employment income to us.
Your gross income is the amount you get before tax and other deductions. You can find it on your payslip.
Your gross employment income might be higher in the holidays because you work extra hours.
Don’t forget to report any extra income to us. If you don’t, we may overpay you and you’ll need to pay the money back.
