Using your digital EBT card

Your digital EBT card lets you buy goods and services or get cash out at a POS terminal subject to terminal limits of the merchant.

You must have a smartphone to get a digital EBT card over the phone or at a service centre.

If you’re eligible to have another payment made to your EBT card, we can reload it over the phone without you attending a service centre.

How to download the EBT card app

To use your digital EBT card, you’ll need to download the EBT card app either:

• in Google Play or the Apple App Store
• from the EBT card website by selecting the Download and register EBT Card App icon.

How to pay using EFTPOS

To use your EBT card at a POS terminal to buy goods or services:

1. Open the digital wallet on your smartphone and select your EBT card.
2. Tap and Pay at the POS terminal if you have this function turned on.
3. Select Savings - SAV, or cheque - CHQ as the account type if prompted.
4. Lock your mobile phone when you’re finished, to keep your details safe.

You may be able to get cash out too, if the merchant allows.
