There are things you need to do after claiming the Tertiary Access Payment

Published: 6 April 2026

Make sure you’ve done these things to avoid your Tertiary Access Payment (TAP) claim being delayed or rejected.

After you claim, we may send you a letter asking for proof that you’re studying. You also need to tell us the address where you’ll live while studying so that we can pay you.

Make sure your proof of enrolment document shows your study load and the course you’re enrolled in. It needs to be dated on or after the date of our letter to you.

Providing this information on time helps you get your payment without delays.

If you don’t do these steps, we can’t finalise your payment.
