You can set up or cancel a Child Support acting arrangement in a couple of ways.
Setting up an arrangement
Setting up a Child Support acting arrangement is a joint process by both you and the person you will act for.
Form
You can set up an acting arrangement using the Representative authority form.
We’ll then set up the arrangement for you.
Letter of authorisation
If you can’t access the representative authority form, you can send us a letter of authorisation.
The person you will act for must sign and date the letter.
A letter of authorisation should include:
- enough information to identify you
- the details you can discuss with us
- the date the arrangement will end.
You can submit the letter of authorisation one of these ways:
- by post or fax
- at a service centre.
Phone
The person you will act for can set up the arrangement by calling us on the Child Support enquiry line.
Cancelling an arrangement
You or the person you represent can cancel the arrangement at any time by calling the Child Support enquiry line.
The person you act for can also remove a Child Support representative through their Child Support online account.
