Register for General Practice Training Payments

Access General Practice Training Payments (GPTP) for registered Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program participants.

You can get General Practice Training Payments (GPTP) if you’re registered in the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program as a:

  • supervisor
  • practice
  • registrar.

Before you can register your practice for GPTP, you need to register on the Organisation Register in Health Professional Online Services (HPOS).

Add GPTP online through HPOS using your Provider Digital Access (PRODA) account. If you don’t have one, register for a PRODA account and link your account to HPOS.

To access GPTP online:

  1. Log in to PRODA to access HPOS.
  2. Select Organisation Register.
  3. Select the Organisation site record for the site you want to register.
  4. Select Program registration.
  5. Select New program, then choose GPTP from the drop-down menu.
  6. Select Add program, Submit and Save.
  7. Add the relevant Banking details.
  8. Select Submit then Save.
