How much Child Care Subsidy you can get
The amount of Child Care Subsidy you can get depends on your circumstances.
Employment Separation Certificate form (SU001)
You can ask your previous employer to use this form to certify important employment information about you.
Proving your child’s birth or adoption
You need to give us proof of your child’s birth or adoption before we can finalise your claim for Parental Leave Pay or Family Tax Benefit.
Income and assets tests for Parenting Payment
The amount of Parenting Payment you can get depends on your income and assets as well as your partner’s, if you have one.
Advance payment
You may get part of your income support payment or Family Tax Benefit (Part A) early. This is an advance payment. You pay it back later out of your payments from us.
Granny flat interest
A granny flat interest is an agreement for accommodation for life. It can affect your eligibility or rate of payment and we may include it in your assets test.

Time limits for submitting lump sum claims and confirming income for Family Tax Benefit
You have 12 months from the end of the financial year to confirm your family income for Family Tax Benefit (FTB) or claim FTB as a lump sum.
Funeral bonds and prepaid funerals
Funeral costs you pay for in advance normally don’t count in your assets test for payments from us. There are some exceptions.
