Scheduled reporting
If you need to report your employment income, it’ll usually be every 14 days, on a date we tell you. We call this scheduled reporting.
Higher rates of Youth Allowance when living away from home - students and Australian Apprentices
You may get a higher rate of Youth Allowance if you need to live away from your parents' home. This can be to study, or do your Australian Apprenticeship.
Annual parental income reassessment
If you’re dependent and get Youth Allowance or ABSTUDY, we may need your parents’ or guardians’ income details each year.
Permanent independence for Youth Allowance for students and Australian apprentices
If you’re 22 or older we’ll treat you as permanently independent. We may also do this in certain circumstances.

How to use Centrepay
You can use the Centrepay bill paying service to pay for goods and services from registered businesses. You can set up Centrepay deductions from most Centrelink payments.
What an Income Bank is
Your Income Bank allows you to earn credits where your income is less than $528 a fortnight.
