Your options for Parenting Payment.
During coronavirus (COVID-19) we’ve made temporary changes to some of our payments. To help stay up to date, you can read more about upcoming changes for parents.
You may get part of your income support payment or Family Tax Benefit (Part A) early. This is an advance payment. You pay it back later out of your payments from us.
Some people can get income support payments paid each week instead of each fortnight.

We can help you take away some of the financial stresses while you’re looking for work. We’ve got tips and tools to help.
We may continue to pay Parenting Payment if you leave Australia for a short time. You must keep meeting Parenting Payment rules at all times.
If you get Parenting Payment and you’re Age Pension age, you can apply to transfer to Age Pension.
