Child Care Rebate
You can no longer get Child Care Rebate (CCR).
Child Care Rebate stopped on 1 July 2018. If you need help with child care fees for approved care, you can claim Child Care Subsidy.
You needed to meet specific criteria to be eligible for CCR. You can no longer submit a lump sum for Child Care Benefit to get CCR. These closed on 30 June 2019.
Balancing CCR for financial years before 2018-19
If you got CCR for approved care for any financial year before 2018-19, we can still balance your CCR. If you got CCR quarterly, this will include your final quarterly payment.
We withheld 15% of your CCR payments throughout the financial year. Once we balance your payments, we’ll do one of the following:
- pay this directly to you after we balance your payments
- use this to offset any overpayments.
We’ll balance your CCR payments when we balance your CCB payments.
