Child Care Rebate
You can no longer claim Child Care Rebate (CCR). It stopped on 1 July 2018.
If you need help with child care fees, you can claim Child Care Subsidy.
You can no longer submit a lump sum claim for Child Care Benefit (CCB) to get CCR. These closed on 30 June 2019.
Balancing CCR for financial years before 2018-19
If you got CCR for any financial year before 2018-19, we can still balance your CCR. If you got CCR quarterly, this will include your final quarterly payment.
We withheld 15% of your CCR throughout the financial year. Once we balance your payments, we’ll either:
- pay this directly into your bank account after we balance your payments
- use this to offset any overpayments.
If you got CCB we’ll balance your CCR when we balance your CCB for that financial year.
To balance your CCB, you and your partner may need to lodge a tax return if you haven’t already. Read more about balancing your CCB.
