To log in to PRODA, you can use multi-factor authentication.
You can log in to PRODA using any of the following multi-factor authentication (MFA) options:
- your digital identity (Digital ID)
- a passkey
- an authenticator app on your mobile device or personal computer
- a one-time passcode (TOTP).
Watch this video to learn more about multi-factor authentication.
Use Digital ID
A Digital ID is a secure way to prove who you are online.
If you registered your PRODA account using Digital ID, you don’t need to create a passkey or register an authenticator app.
Read more about Digital ID on the Digital ID System website.
Use a passkey
Passkeys are a securer alternative to passwords to log in to PRODA. They let you use the security features on your phone, computer or tablet to log in to apps and websites.
Read more about passkeys on the Australian Cyber Security Centre website.
Before you register a passkey
To register a passkey, you’ll need either:

- an Android device with Android 9 or above.
You’ll also need one of these options:

- ChromeOS.
You may also need to enable all these functions on your device:

Find out more about how to set up iCloud Keychain on the Apple website.
Register a passkey for PRODA
Passkeys should only be created on a trusted device. A trusted device is a device you own and don’t share with anyone else.
You can have up to 3 passkeys registered in your PRODA account.

- Log in to PRODA.
- Select Profile and go to Security.
- Go to Passkeys and select Update.

Once you’ve registered your passkey and updated your MFA preference, you can use it to log in to your PRODA account.
Using a different device
If you’re using a shared or public device to access PRODA, you can register a passkey on your trusted device by scanning a QR code.
After you register the passkey and set it as your MFA preference, you’ll need to use your passkey the next time you log in to your PRODA account.
Deleting a registered passkey

To delete a passkey, follow these steps:
- Log in to PRODA.
- Select Profile and go to Security.
- Go to Passkeys and select Update.
- Go to the passkey you want to remove and select Delete.
Use an authenticator app
Authenticator apps generate codes you use to sign in to your PRODA account. They can be an app or service you can download to your device.
Some authenticator apps can’t be used with your PRODA account because they don’t meet the SHA256 security standard. This includes Microsoft Authenticator.
Before you add an authenticator app
Use an authenticator app you’re familiar with. You should only use an authenticator app on a trusted device.
