Exclusions from enhanced Income Management

You may get an exclusion from enhanced Income Management if you are a vulnerable young person.

Who can get it

You may be excluded from enhanced Income Management for 12 months, if you’re a vulnerable young person and either:

  • enhanced Income Management places your mental, physical or emotional wellbeing at risk
  • you had less than 25% of your basic rate of payment for at least 4 of the last 6 fortnights.

If you are excluded, enhanced Income Management will stop for 12 months unless your circumstances change.

After this time, we will review your circumstances and determine if another exclusion should apply. If it doesn’t, enhanced Income Management may restart.

Who cannot get it

We cannot exclude you if a social worker referred you to enhanced Income Management.
