The EBT card is a reloadable eftpos prepaid card. You can use it to access immediate funds we approve if you’re experiencing financial hardship and you can’t access your payment another way.
You cannot request or apply for an EBT card. You can only get one if we offer it to you.
If we give you an EBT card, you can choose either a:
- physical card, which you must collect from a service centre
- digital card, which you can access on your smartphone without visiting a service centre.
