Our specialists provide critical support for customers and community groups experiencing vulnerability who need extra help to connect with us.

We’ve partnered with the community sector to develop a Community Servicing Model (the Model) that strengthens the way our specialists work in and engage with community.

Our specialist staff offer a range of tailored services and support to organisations and customers in a local area.

About the Model

We met with community peak bodies, support organisations, and staff around Australia who told us the people they support struggle with complex life events, and where to get help.

Guided by this engagement, we’ve designed a model that responds to their issues, builds trust, and improves our services. The Model shows how we’ll connect with and support our community partners and reduce barriers for mutual customers. We’ll provide more updates and information to community as the work progresses.

The Model:

  • outlines how community specialists work together with community organisations and customers
  • places local community needs at the front with a clear and consistent agency approach
  • ensures our specialist have the right tools, training and access to support customers
  • makes it easier for people to get the help they need, when they need it, and in a place they feel safe.
