Check what you need to do after claiming Tertiary Access Payment

Published: 6 August 2026

Make sure you’ve completed these steps to avoid delays to your Tertiary Access Payment (TAP) claim.

After you claim, we may send you a letter asking for proof that you’re studying. You’ll also need to tell us the address where you’ll live while studying so we can pay you.

Make sure your proof of enrolment document shows your name, education provider, study load and the course you’re enrolled in. It needs to be dated on or after the date of our letter to you.

Providing this information on time helps you get your payment without delays.

If you don’t do these steps, we can’t finalise your payment.
