7 October 2023 Hamas terrorist attacks open for claims

Terrorist attacks that took place on 7 October 2023 in the following locations in Israel have been declared overseas terrorist acts for AVTOP:

• Be’eri Kibbutz
• Sderot
• Supernova Sukklot Gathering music festival, in the Re’im Kibbutz
• Nahal Oz Kibbutz
• military base adjacent to the Nahal Oz Kibbutz near the northern Gaza Strip
• Kfar Aza Kibbutz
• Nir Oz Kibbutz
• Netiv HaAsara Moshav
• Alumim Kibbutz
• Kissufim Kibbutz
• Nirim Kibbutz
• Zikim Beach
• Holit Kibbutz
• Ein HaShlosha Kibbutz
• Nir Yitzhak Kibbutz.

To claim this payment, download and complete the relevant claim form. Return the completed form and supporting documents to us using any of the following:

• using your Centrelink online account
• by mail, using the instructions on the form
• in person, at one of our service centres.

Primary victim claim forms

The primary victim claiming period for this event has now closed, unless special circumstances apply.

Secondary victim claim forms

A secondary victim must submit a claim within 12 months of the death of the close family member.

The close family member must have died as a direct result of, and within 2 years of the declared terrorist act. The latest date we will accept claims for secondary victims is 6 October 2026.
