We've changed what goods and services you can pay for using Centrepay

From 1 November 2026 you can’t use Centrepay for some goods and services.

You can’t use Centrepay for these:

  • household goods lease and rental, whitegoods and furniture
  • clothing, footwear and appliances
  • food expenses in non-remote areas
  • meat from a butcher
  • employment expenses, tools, uniforms and training
  • funeral expenses
  • social and recreational expenses
  • savings
  • motor vehicle registration.

If you have a deduction, you’ll need to contact the business to arrange another way to pay by 1 November 2026.
