How to claim Essential Medical Equipment Payment
Complete the following steps to claim Essential Medical Equipment Payment (EMEP). Before you start, check if you can get it.
Income from outside Australia
Income you get from outside Australia can count in your income test.
Carer Payment and/or Carer Allowance - Care Needs Assessment (for a child under 16 years) form (SA394)
Use this form to identify care needs as part of the assessment of eligibility for Carer Payment, Carer Allowance or both.
Replace a lost or stolen Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card
If your Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card is lost, stolen or ruined, we can post you a new card if you need one.
When to report your income to Centrelink
If you’re getting an income support payment, we’ll tell you when you need to report any other income you get.
Funeral bonds and prepaid funerals
Funeral costs you pay for in advance normally don’t count in your assets test for payments from us. There are some exceptions.
How we assess granny flat interests
You need to tell us the value of the granny flat interest so we can assess if this affects your payments.
Scheduled reporting
If you need to report your employment income, it’ll usually be every 14 days, on a date we tell you. We call this scheduled reporting.

Use this form to tell us that you, as an authorised person or organisation, want to cancel a nominee arrangement.
