To get NZ DRA you had to meet all eligibility rules, including working or living in one of the following declared areas. You can find all eligibility rules by checking who can get it.
Claims closed 7 October 2026 for the following areas:
- Belyuen Local Government Area (LGA)
- Coomalie LGA
- Katherine LGA
- Litchfield LGA
- Roper Gulf LGA
- Unincorporated NT excluding the locality of Yulara
- Victoria Daly LGA
- Wagait LGA
- West Arnhem LGA
- West Daly LGA.
Late claims can only be accepted in exceptional circumstances. To claim, call the Emergency information line.
You may also have been eligible for New Zealand Disaster Recovery Payment. If you’re eligible, you can get this payment both New Zealand Disaster Recovery Payment and NZ DRA.
