To get this you must:
- be a farmer or partner of a farmer
- meet the income and assets test limits
- meet mutual obligation requirements.
A farmer must contribute significant labour and capital to a farm.

A Farm Household Case Officer will contact you when you start getting Farm Household Allowance. They’ll guide and support you while you’re on this payment.
