How much you can get
Dad and Partner Pay is currently $753.90 per week before tax. It’s based on the weekly rate of the national minimum wage. You can receive it for up to 2 weeks.
We’ll pay you directly into the bank account you choose.
We’ll pay you in 1 instalment.
We’ll withhold PAYG tax at the rate of 15%, unless you request another rate.
Your employer may pay you a top up payment to supplement your Dad and Partner Pay. For example, they may pay the difference between your Dad and Partner Pay and your normal wage. This won't affect your eligibility. We don’t consider a top up payment as paid leave for the purposes of Dad and Partner Pay. Your employer can’t use JobKeeper Payment for the top up payment. This is because you can’t get income from JobKeeper Payment at the same time you get Dad and Partner Pay.
Complete the following steps to claim Dad and Partner Pay. Before you start, check if you can get it.
