Four tips to help you manage your ABSTUDY payments and avoid a debt.

ABSTUDY can support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, trainees and apprentices with many payments.

If you get ABSTUDY, it can help to know how to:

  • get extra ABSTUDY support you may be able to claim
  • tell us about changes to your circumstances within 14 days so you don’t get a debt
  • get a Tax File Number when you turn 16 to keep getting your ABSTUDY payments
  • contact us for any questions about ABSTUDY or your payments.
