Fake digital document signing scams

Scammers are contacting people and asking them to digitally sign a fake document that’s been created to steal personal information.

The scammer will usually contact you by email. The email will ask you to click on a link to review and sign a digital document. The email may say it’s to finalise a payment or benefit.

This is a scam. We won’t send you a link to digitally sign a document.

The email may look like these examples:

Scammers want you to feel worried, so you’ll act quickly and click on a dodgy link.

Never click on a link in an email or text message. This is how scammers steal your money and identity.
