Carer Payment is available to those who are caring for someone who:

• has a disability or medical condition likely to last at least 6 months
• is elderly and frail.

To be eligible for Carer Payment, you must be either providing:

• constant care for someone for at least 6 months
• care for someone at the end of their life.
