Help to address common errors when using the WIP – Practice Stream Online.

Please contact Incentive Programs if you have error codes not included in the table.

Error Code Error Message Trouble Shooting
1118 Owners/Partners/Associates are required to be provided for the type of arrangement which best describes your practice. You must provide at least one Owner/Partner/Associate.

At least 2 owners/partners/associates must be registered to the practice profile for all ownership types excluding Individual Proprietor.

If a:

  • sole director
  • director and secretary.

Then: enter the director’s name twice.

1124 The Provider Number is invalid. You must check and re-enter the Provider Number. Confirm the provider number.
The practitioner can confirm their provider number through HPOS by managing their provider number.
If the provider number is correct, the practitioner must call Medicare provider enquiries - Provider Registration.
1134 The End Date for Provider Number {0} ({1} {2}) can’t be before today's date as the Provider must be current to be included in the WIP – Practice Stream.

Add practitioner without the end date applied. Then, End date provider number.

You must check the Start Date for the Provider Number {0} ({1} {2}). This is because the Start Date entered isn’t valid, as the Provider Number has already been assigned to a practice location for this date. Contact Incentive Programs.
2013 The file you wish to upload is a duplicate of a file already uploaded, you must update the information or change the description to indicate the difference or most recent version before uploading this document.

Associated documents can’t be uploaded with the same document name and description.

Amend the document name and description.

2045 Additional Location {0} is a duplicate address for another practices location. An Additional Location address can’t be a current location for more than one practice. You must remove this location and contact Medicare Australia for more information. Close practice branch location under the relevant Practice ID then, Add practice branch location.
2169 The RA number entered does not match with the First Name and Last Name entered. Check the details and enter again. Confirm the RA number.
If the number is correct, the owner of the RA Number must contact eBusiness Service Centre.
2250 The RA number entered is either incorrect or isn’t current. Enter a current RA number and select the grant access link. Confirm the RA number.
If the number is correct, the owner of the RA Number must contact eBusiness Service Centre.
2307 The address entered isn’t recognised by Australia Post. You should use the Australia Post address for the practices physical location. Using the keyed address may result in underpayments or overpayments to the practice. You can check your address here. Do you want to continue to use the address entered?

Validate your practice address with Australia Post.

Select No to the confirm message.

Re-enter your validated practice address and continue.

Note: If the validated address isn’t recognised by Australia Post, select Yes.

Your practice’s accreditation certificate must match the validated practice address.

2329 You must check the Start Date for the Provider Number {0} as the Start Date entered isn’t valid. This is because it’s after the Provider Number End Date stored by Services Australia.

Practitioners can’t be added after the provider number end date.

The practitioner must confirm their provider number end date by managing their provider number.

Re-enter the start date on or before the provider number end date.

2330 You must check the End Date for the Provider Number {0} as the End Date entered is not valid. This is because it’s after the Provider Number End Date stored by Services Australia.

Practitioner can’t be end dated after the provider number end date.

The practitioner must confirm their provider number end date by managing their provider number.

Re-enter the end date on or before the provider number end date.

2357 The RA number for {0} {1} can’t be used as it’s not valid or current. RA numbers must be for a current PRODA account issued by Services Australia.

Confirm the RA number.

If correct, the owner of the RA Number must contact eBusiness Service Centre.

2371 The file you selected to Upload contains an invalid file type extension. Documents with this file type extension can’t be uploaded. Upload all documents in PDF format.
2389 Provider number has been added to more than one current location of the practice. Check the correct provider number has been registered to the correct location/s, If not, contact Incentive Programs.
2391 The provider number is unique to a location, Medicare records do not associate {0} with the location address entered. Check the number and re-enter. If validation error persists, contact the WIP – Practice Stream for further assistance.

The address registered to the provider does not match the location address registered to your practice profile.

The practitioner must contact Medicare provider enquiries - Provider Registration to amend their provider number address.

2481 The start date occurs before the provider location start date recorded for provider number {0}. Re-enter a start date greater than or equal to the provider location start date of {1}.

Practitioners can’t be added with a start date before the provider number start date.

The practitioner must confirm their provider number end date by managing their provider number.

Re-enter the start date on or after the provider number start date.

9016 Start date can’t be future date for provider number {0}.

Practitioners can’t be added in before the provider number start date.

Add the practitioner on or after the date the practitioner starts work at the practice.

9077 Accreditation Start date can’t be a future date. Enter the start date shown on your current accreditation or registered for accreditation certificate.

The accreditation end date can’t be before today’s date, as the practice must have current accreditation to apply for the WIP – Practice Stream.

Your practice must be accredited or registered for accreditation at the time of application.

If the end date on your current certificate is prior to today’s date, your practice isn’t eligible to participate in the program.
