Watch out for fake charity and No Interest Loan scams

Scammers are pretending to be charities and No Interest Loan providers on social media to steal your personal information.

They may pretend to be charities such as Good Shepherd or Salvation Army and contact you using direct messages or live chat. They may say you can apply for a cash loan with no fees or interest.

This is a scam. You can’t apply for a No Interest Loan on social media, and these loans can’t be paid as cash into your bank account.


Never share your myGov sign in details, identity documents, Medicare card details, CRN or bank details on social media.
