Child Support Collect is when you pay child support directly to us, and we then transfer the payments on your behalf to the other person.
There are different options available to make child support payments. Some methods have a small fee.
We can’t stop collecting child support payments unless there’s a stay order in place.
We can do both of the following:
- enforce overdue child support payments
- manage repayments if you’ve paid too much child support.
Pay by credit or debit card
You can make child support payments using a Visa or MasterCard online, over the phone or through the Express Plus Child Support mobile app. Credit card fees will apply.
You’ll need your 16 digit payment reference number on your payer account statement.
Be careful when making child support payments with your credit or debit card online. We won’t ask you to make child support payments using links in emails, text messages or private social media messages.
Online
You can pay online using Government EasyPay.
Pay with Government EasyPay
Only access Government EasyPay using the link on our website. The link on this page is genuine because it’s on our official Services Australia website. Other links to pay child support that are outside of our website may be a scam.
Phone
You can pay over the phone by calling the Child Support Government EasyPay Service.
Express Plus app

Pay through employer deductions
Your employer can deduct child support payments from your pay.
You need to call us on the Child Support Enquiry Line to organise employer deductions.
You’ll need to use another payment option until this starts.
In limited circumstances you can ask us to stop these deductions. If you need to do this, you can either:
- call the Child Support Enquiry Line
- fill out the Application to stop deductions from salary or wages form.
Pay through deductions to your income support payment
We can deduct your child support from payments you get from us or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
Call the Child Support Enquiry Line for more information.
