You can make child support payments to us using the Government EasyPay service.
Before using this service you should consider the available options to decide what is both the most:
- suitable option to help you meet your child support obligations
- cost effective payment option to help you meet your child support obligations.
How to make payments
The Government EasyPay service is provided by the Reserve Bank of Australia via their payment gateway service provider, ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions.
Cards accepted
The Government EasyPay service accepts the following cards:
- Mastercard credit card
- Mastercard debit card
- Visa credit card
- Visa debit card.
Payment value
The minimum payment to use the Government EasyPay service is $10.00.
Card payment fee
Card payment fees depend on when the payment was made. Payments made before 1 January 2025 will be charged fees if paid with a credit or debit card. From 1 January 2025 onwards fees will only apply to credit cards.
This fee is the non-GST part of the fee that we are charged from the bank and reflects the cost of acceptance. It is a percentage of the amount being paid, based on the type of card. This fee will be reviewed from time to time and may change. When making a payment, the system will show you the fee amount and payment totals before asking you to confirm.
Payment receipt
When you make a payment using the Government EasyPay service you’ll get a receipt. It will show both the:
- payment amount put into the child support account
- applicable card payment fee, if there is one.
Your credit or debit card statement will display Child-support-payment as the details of your payment using Government EasyPay.
Service processing times
Payments need to reach us on or before their due date. You can use the Government EasyPay service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Payments appear in the child support account in approximately 24-48 hours, longer on weekends and public holidays.
Payments will be processed the next business day if it is made:
- after 9:30 pm Sydney Australia Eastern Standard Time
- on a weekend
- on a public holiday.
If the service is unavailable
The Government EasyPay service may sometimes be unavailable due to technical issues or maintenance. During these periods, if you need to make a payment, you should:
- use an alternative Child Support Collect payment option as a paying or receiving parent
- use an alternative Child Support Collect payment option for child support as an organisation.
This means you’ll make your payment by the due date and reduces the risk of late payment penalties.
If you can’t make your payment or access alternative payment methods, please contact the Child Support Enquiry Line to discuss your options.
