Government EasyPay

We accept Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card for child support payments made online or over the phone.

You can make child support payments to us using the Government EasyPay service.

Before using this service you should consider the available options to decide what is both the most:

  • suitable option to help you meet your child support obligations
  • cost effective payment option to help you meet your child support obligations.

How to make payments

The Government EasyPay service is provided by the Reserve Bank of Australia via their payment gateway service provider, ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions.

Cards accepted

The Government EasyPay service accepts the following cards:

  • Mastercard credit card
  • Mastercard debit card
  • Visa credit card
  • Visa debit card.

Payment value

The minimum payment to use the Government EasyPay service is $10.00.

Card payment fee

Card payment fees depend on when the payment was made. Payments made before 1 January 2025 will be charged fees if paid with a credit or debit card. From 1 January 2025 onwards fees will only apply to credit cards.

This fee is the non-GST part of the fee that we are charged from the bank and reflects the cost of acceptance. It is a percentage of the amount being paid, based on the type of card. This fee will be reviewed from time to time and may change. When making a payment, the system will show you the fee amount and payment totals before asking you to confirm.

Payment receipt

When you make a payment using the Government EasyPay service you’ll get a receipt. It will show both the:

  • payment amount put into the child support account
  • applicable card payment fee, if there is one.

Your credit or debit card statement will display Child-support-payment as the details of your payment using Government EasyPay.

Service processing times

Payments need to reach us on or before their due date. You can use the Government EasyPay service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Payments appear in the child support account in approximately 24-48 hours, longer on weekends and public holidays.

Payments will be processed the next business day if it is made:

  • after 9:30 pm Sydney Australia Eastern Standard Time
  • on a weekend
  • on a public holiday.

If the service is unavailable

The Government EasyPay service may sometimes be unavailable due to technical issues or maintenance. During these periods, if you need to make a payment, you should:

How your privacy and personal information is managed

ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions may request your email address when using the Government EasyPay service in order to send you a copy of your payment receipt.

The Reserve Bank does not usually disclose your email address to persons or organisations outside the Reserve Bank.

The Reserve Bank is unlikely to disclose your email address to overseas recipients.

Individuals are entitled under Australian privacy law in certain circumstances to access, and seek correction of, personal information about them held by the Reserve Bank.

The protection and security of information that you provide using the Government EasyPay service is very important and strict industry standards are applied at all times.

Payment information that you enter when using this site is processed and stored in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). This Standard has been developed by the PCI Security Standards Council.

This is an open global forum responsible for the ongoing development, enhancement, storage, dissemination and implementation of security standards for account data protection.

The information that you provide is protected through the use of Secured Socket Layer (SSL) 128-bit encryption. You will notice that the URL in your browser is "HTTPS" instead of "HTTP". This is because this security feature has been invoked. Your browser may also display a lock symbol on the bottom task bar line to indicate that a secure website is being used.
