Pause of requirements
During this period, no payment suspensions or financial penalties will apply if you don’t meet your requirements.
You must still report any income you and your partner get every 2 weeks, even if it’s $0. This is so we can pay you the right amount.

If you’re unable to meet your requirements for any reason, you should speak to your provider.
Current and upcoming pauses
There’s currently a national pause of requirements for participants in all Community Development Program (CDP) regions. This is due to a transition of existing CDP participants to the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES). The pause will continue for all RAES regions when RAES starts on 1 November, replacing CDP. The pause is from 1 October 2025 up to and including 5 January 2026.
There will be a national pause of requirements for Disability Employment Services (DES) participants. This is due to a transition of existing DES participants to Inclusive Employment Australia. The pause will continue when Inclusive Employment Australia starts on 1 November 2025, replacing DES. This pause is from 16 October 2025 up to and including 5 January 2026.
There’s currently no pause of requirements in ACT.
There’s currently no pause of requirements in NSW.
There’s currently no pause of requirements in the NT.
There’s currently no pause of requirements in QLD.
There’s currently a pause of requirements for Multiple Solutions participants in Disability Employment Services (DES). The pause is from 29 September 2025 up to and including 15 October 2025.
There’s currently no pause of requirements in TAS.
There’s currently no pause of requirements in VIC.
There’s currently no pause of requirements in WA.
