How our website works
We structure information using key life events our customers experience, such as raising kids, living arrangements, and health and disability. This makes it easier for people to find information that’s relevant to their individual circumstance.
We also use plain English wherever possible.
How we make it better
We test our website with people from different backgrounds and demographics. This includes people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and people who don’t speak English as their first language.
We apply all we’ve learned from years of research and ongoing testing to continually improve our website based on how people want to use it.
Improvements we’ve made
We’ve added quick codes so people can easily identify specific pages on our website and introduced opt-in dark mode to help reduce eye strain in low light conditions.
We also reworked our health professionals content to be more relevant and task focused.
