Register as a vaccination provider
Apply to become a recognised vaccination provider on the Australian Immunisation Register.
Medical practitioners, midwives or nurse practitioners with a Medicare provider number
If you’re a medical practitioner, midwife or nurse practitioner with a Medicare provider number, you’re both:
- an automatically recognised vaccination provider
- authorised to record or get immunisation data on the AIR.
We’ll be turning off your individual authentication file in the near future and you’ll need a PRODA account to access the AIR.
If you already have a PRODA account, you don’t need to create another one. You can use PRODA to access the AIR site now.
Read about accessing the AIR.
Other vaccination providers
If you’re not a medical practitioner, midwife or nurse practitioner with a Medicare provider number, you can apply to become a recognised vaccination provider.
Complete the Australian Immunisation Register - Application to register as a vaccination provider form and follow the instructions on the form to submit your application.
Note: some vaccination provider types must be endorsed by their state or territory health department. We recommend you carefully read the instructions on the form before submitting it to us.
When we get the form, we’ll give you an AIR provider number. Use this number when you send immunisation details to the AIR.
