Notice of past benefits
We add up each Medicare benefit that relates to your compensation. We list these items in a Notice of past benefits and send it to you and the compensation payer. The total on this notice is the amount you’ll need to repay.
The Notice of past benefits shows:
- the services you’ve told us relate to your relevant injury or illness
- the amount you’ll need to repay from your compensation.
The notice is valid for 6 months. We’ll use it if your claim is finalised within 6 months of the date of issue.
