New reporting process for aged care lump sum balances

From 1 December, aged care providers are required to inform us of your residential aged care lump sum balances as part of their monthly reporting.

Your aged care lump sum balance will be reviewed regularly so your means-tested aged care costs remain accurate and reflect your financial situation.

If the provider reported Refundable Accommodation Deposit or Refundable Accommodation Contribution is different to what we have recorded in our system, we’ll send you a letter to confirm the details.
