More support available for the Northern Territory flooding, February to March 2026

If you’ve been affected by this disaster, we have Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) and Disaster Recovery Allowance (DRA) to help you.

AGDRP is a lump sum payment to help you if you’ve been directly affected by this declared disaster.

AGDRP has been extended to the following areas:

  • Berry Springs in Litchfield Local Government Area (LGA)
  • Daly River in Victoria Daly LGA
  • Darwin River in Litchfield LGA
  • Katherine LGA
  • Landsdowne in Roper Gulf LGA
  • Maranunga in Victoria Daly LGA
  • Nauiyu in Victoria Daly LGA
  • Nganmarriyanga (Palumpa) in West Daly LGA
  • Wugularr (Beswick) in Roper Gulf LGA.

DRA is a short-term payment to help you if you’ve lost income as a direct result of the disaster.

You can get this payment for up to 13 weeks, if you live or work in the following LGAs:

  • Katherine
  • Litchfield
  • Roper Gulf
  • Victoria Daly
  • West Daly.

If you’re eligible, you can get both AGDRP and DRA.

We also have payments for New Zealand citizens living in Australia.
