You can now get 130 Parental Leave Pay days, which is 26 weeks based on a 5-day work week.
This is an increase from the previous amount of 120 days.
If you claimed before 1 July, your Parental Leave Pay balance will show as 120 days. Once you provide proof that your child was born or entered your care from 1 July 2026, we’ll add an extra 10 days to your balance.
There is also a change to the number of days reserved for the other parent.
