If you weren't eligible for Medicare for all or part of the tax year, you may need a Medicare Entitlement Statement (MES).
A MES shows the period during a financial year that you weren't eligible for Medicare.
If you weren't eligible for Medicare for all or part of the tax year, you may need an MES before lodging your tax return.
You can apply online through the Medicare Entitlement Statement dashboard in the Individual Healthcare Identifiers service through myGov or use the online application form.
