It’s important you trust the person or organisation acting for you

Before you approve someone to act for you with Centrelink, Medicare or Child Support, consider if you trust them with your personal details.

You have the right to always feel safe.

While a person or organisation is acting for you, they can access your details, give us information, ask questions and talk to us about your situation.

If you no longer need help, or don’t think they’re acting in your best interests, you can cancel an arrangement at any time.

If you still need help, you can set up a new acting arrangement with someone you trust.
