We review your and your partner’s details to make sure you’re getting the right payment and payment amount.
What we do
We may select you at random to review your and your partner’s details if you get one of these payments:
- ABSTUDY
- Age Pension
- Austudy
- Carer Payment
- Carer Allowance
- Disability Support Pension
- Family Tax Benefit
- JobSeeker Payment
- Parenting Payment
- Partner Allowance
- Special Benefit
- Widow Allowance
- Youth Allowance.
We’ll try to call you to let you know if we’re going to review your and your partner’s details. Then we’ll send you a letter with an appointment time. It will be either an over the phone appointment or in person at a service centre.
What you need to do
Both you and your partner need to attend the appointment. Your letter will tell you if you need to attend in person or complete the appointment by phone.
If you have a Centrelink correspondence nominee, they may on your behalf:
- attend the face to face interview
- complete the telephone interview.
If you can’t make it, call the contact person in your letter to make another appointment. Make sure you tell us before your appointment.
If you don’t attend your appointment we may stop your payment.
